United Methodist Volunteers in Mission is celebrating 50 years of ministry in 2026.

For half a century, United Methodists have been showing christian love in action and working together with partners around the world.

Mission is an incredibly important part of our faith development as Christians, and when we show our love, we also show Christ’s love for all people.

The number of volunteers that have been nurtured, trained, and deployed by UMVIM in the Southeast Jurisdiction alone numbers in the hundreds of thousands!

As a part of UMVIM’s 50th anniversary, we are asking the UMVIM family to give in honor or memory of a team leader, family member or friend, project leader, or someone who is exploring a call to serve in mission!

For those that give $50 or more, you will receive a special 50th anniversary UMVIM t-shirt, which reminds all of us of Christ’s example and witness with the message: “When in Doubt, Choose Love.”

We expect the shirts to be printed and delivered by the end of June. They will be available in sizes XS-XXL on a standard cotton blend unisex t-shirt.
