New Team Leader Handbook Available

This new edition is designed to be small companion for your mission journey, with a plastic pocket inside the back cover to store insurance information, important notes, or other items on your journey. The Handbook also features updated information to help keep your team informed, and QR codes throughout the text which take you instantly to the specific resource you are reading about.

Teams Needed for Kentucky Long-term Recovery

Joy Wiseman, the Project Manager/ Volunteer Coordinator for Kentucky Conference Disaster Response, has asked for volunteer teams to help the recovery effort. Kentucky has begun the Case Management process for the February and April flooding events in Eastern and Western KY.

Online Team Leader “Refresher” Training: October 4th, 2025 [Saturday] 9:30am-11:30am

This training is for experienced team leaders who need a bit of a “refresher” training to keep up with the latest info, or some gently reminders. This training is online, and will last 2+ hours.

New Team Leader Training Co-hort: Sept 17-Oct 8th, 2025, [Wed] 6pm

Last call for registrats to join UMVIM’s New Team Leader Training Co-hort. This training will be held on consectutive Wednesday nights at 6pm-8pm, starting on Sept 17th and ending Oct 4th. This is for new team leaders, and will feature instruction about theology, the UMC, why missons is important, and tips for planning.

Because of its many connections, UMVIM can help individuals find mission teams to join, teams to serve with projects, and projects to suit a team’s specific gifts and talents.
