United Methodist Volunteers in Mission, SEJ is the short-term mission sending agency of the Southeastern Jurisdiction of the United Methodist Church. UMVIM exists to promote, encourage, and enable Christians to exemplify “Christian Love in Action” through short-term mission service at home and abroad.

Team Openings

  • May 28-June 27, 2019. Wesley Foundation at Purdue and Friendly Planet Missiology has created a mission, with Africa University and the North Katanga Annual Conference, for primarily college students (active adults who work well with students are welcome to apply) in order to build relationships with African students and young adults. The purpose of this mission to develop friendship and partnership with our African brothers and sisters through deep listening and working together to deliver bicycles and a variety of other adventures and projects. The team leaders for this journey are Revs. Lana and Glen Robyne and Rev. Joseph Mulongo. The approximate cost is $4400. For more information, please contact Rev.   • May 12-24, 2019. The Wesley Foundation at the University of South Carolina is looking for dentists, doctors/nurses, and an optometrist to join their mission team to Zimbabwe (near Bulawayo). The team will be providing healthcare and children's work, and the team will be hosted by the AME Church in Africa, 20th District. The approximate cost is $1700.
